Welcome on the website of the smallest hotel in the world. This nice maisonnette has put the little town Eenrum on the world map. Eenrum contains three cafés, a candle maker and even a musterd museum, but they are not as well known as 'Grand Hotel de Kromme Raake, the smallest hotel in the world'. Grand Hotel de Kromme Raake even made it to the frontpage of the South China Morning Post.

This former grocery shop was converted into a one-room-hotel and was decorated in art deco style by the founder of the hotel and two artists. The hotel was named after an embanked sea arm, which streams through the village of Eenrum. Henk Vonhoff, the then provincial governor of Groningen, opened the smallest hotel in the world in 1989 ceremonious. The hotel emmediately got two listings in the Guinness Book of Records, at the opening of the smallest hotel in the world the wine was poured from the biggest bottle of Beaujolais in the world.

Many celebreties have already slept in the hotel. Crown prince Willem-Alexander and his wife princess Máxima allmost spend their weddingnight here. They got an invitation, but unfortunately they had already booked somewhere else. Their great reaction with a fotograph is suspended above the stove in the breakfast-kitchen.
